I worked as a landscape architect for many years, using a T-square and set-square to draw up plans. Later I trained in illustration, developing a handmade graphic style with inks and collage. I'm inspired by places, their history, their trees and wildlife, their make-up and how people use them. I like to explore ideas around perspectives and viewpoints too. 

I'm a member of Hot Bed Press print studio in Salford. Here I experiment with varied edition hand-pulled screen prints and use my ink drawings to make stencils.
 
My images have been exhibited at Manchester Art Fair 2024, Manchester Craft Centre, Pump House Gallery Battersea Park, Seven Stories, Quarry Bank Mill, Bolton Art Gallery and local venues in Manchester.

In the past I've illustrated several young readers' books for Oxford University Press, shadow play sequences for the Children's Country House at Sudbury (National Trust)and decorative maps and winter wonderland images for Quarry Bank Mill (National Trust}. Plus merchandise, line drawings of museum exhibits and a 'Leopold the Mouse' character for Bolton Museum and Art Gallery.
